LATEST BRANCH NEWS ...
New Venue for Meetings in 2010 ... Commencing in February, all Social Meetings and Evening "Games Nights" will be held at the Relais de l'Oust, Josselin. This is due simply because our rapid rise in membership has meant the Branch has grown out of the existing venue.
Christmas Postage Stamps ... Please be sure to keep all those used postage stamps you received over the Christmas period. Bring them along to the next Social Meeting and hand them to Don Dykes, our Treasurer, (or any committee member) and they can be used to raise money for The Royal British Legion

POPPY APPEAL BEAR-NAMING CONTEST
Have a go at guessing the name of this hand-made, collectable bear at €1 a go, proceeds to the Poppy Appeal. The winning name has been placed in an envelope; when all the names have been chosen, we will open the envelope and the lucky winner will have a lovely bear. She currently wears a dress, but a military or any other costume could be made for her at a cost to be arranged

Jellicoe Shield

Congratulations to the committee and every member of the Central Brittany Branch on the presentation of this prestigous Award, the Jellicoe Shield, in the Royal British Legion 2008/09 National Cup Competition. The Shield is awarded to the Branch with over 100 members at the end of the period under consideration which has the most improved membership over the previous three years. The Chairman was presented with the Shield at the Legion's Annual Conference on Sunday 17th May and it will be on show at the next Social Meeting on 2nd June.
